Cake Presentation To The King & Queen 2016

In conjunction with His Majesty’s birthday on Saturday, 4 June 2016, Federal Hotels International (FHI) Group of Hotels namely The Federal Kuala Lumpur, Hotel Capitol Kuala Lumpur and The Grace Hotel Sydney presented a 50kg kurma and butter cake with the theme of “Kedah Darul  Aman – the Rice Bowl of Malaysia” to the Yang di Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah and the Queen, Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah at the Banquet Hall of Istana Negara on Thursday, 2 June 2016.  The masterpiece of the Kedah Kampung House was made of 20kg chocolates, the base of 30kg kurma butter cake was covered with green icing sugar, a resemblance of the padi field.  This masterpiece took two weeks of hard work and research done by the FHI team and the Pastry Chefs that include Pastry Chef Kanan and the Kitchen Artist, Encik Suhailani Shamsuddin.
